This alternative insurance model offers flexibility and savings on premiums. The digital symptom checker gives instant peace of mind and an initial assessment, then you pick the most appropriate option: telemedicine, GP practice or pharmacy.
Compassana’s medically certified symptom checker will show you in seconds what you can do right now.
After the assessment, you choose the most appropriate point of contact: Medi24 telemedicine, your selected GP practice or a partner pharmacy.
Save on premiums and get verified quality from our partners. Your discount has already been deducted in the premium calculator.
Compassana pools your health information. Documents such as doctor’s reports, laboratory results and prescriptions are always at your fingertips.
Enter your date of birth and place of residence in the premium calculator. Then select a practice from our list of doctors.
If you suddenly experience symptoms, start with the Compassana app and check your symptoms digitally. You will receive an initial assessment there and then.
Exceptions
After the assessment, you are free to choose between GP practice, Medi24 telemedicine (0800 88 40 40) or a partner pharmacy. Get help for minor complaints fast – no appointment required. If the pharmacy cannot resolve your problem, contact your GP practice or telemedicine.
Your GP or the telemedicine service will plan the next steps and refer you if necessary.
Follow the guidelines. Otherwise, we will transfer you to the BASIS standard model. You will then lose your premium discount.
All residents of Switzerland can opt for the combined model. You select a doctors’ office from our list and always use the symptom checker in the Compassana app first. The other Compassana services are optional.
The medically certified symptom checker creates an AI-assisted initial assessment and makes a recommendation. Use the symptom checker for acute, sudden-onset complaints. Then get in touch with your point of contact: telemedicine, GP practice or partner pharmacy. Children under the age of 18 may not use the symptom checker.

If the pharmacy cannot resolve your problem, proceed as usual according to your Flexmed basic insurance model: coordinate the next steps with your GP practice or telemedicine.
These are the discount levels: R1 is the highest, R3 the lowest. The level influences the premium – as does your place of residence, age and deductible. The doctors’ offices have a contractual relationship with Helsana. These doctors actively take responsibility, coordinate treatment and referrals and ensure better quality.
