Exceptions: in emergencies, and for pregnancy concerns, gynaecological check-ups, dental treatment or adjustments to glasses, go straight to a specialist.
After receiving medical advice from Medi24, you are free to choose your own doctor. Minor treatments are also available free of charge at a partner pharmacy.

Yes, if you have contacted the Medi24 medical advice hotline beforehand, you can then make an appointment with a doctor of your choice, if necessary.
With the alternative insurance model PREMED-24, you are obliged to contact Medi24 first if you have a health problem. If you then need to make an appointment with a specialist, you are free to choose them. Would you like a recommendation? Use the free BetterDoc specialist search function.

PREMED-24 provides you with fast help and advice at our partner pharmacies for minor complaints such as earache or rashes – in a separate room, if required. You can also access further examinations and treatments there, and you do not need to pay a deductible or excess for this service. You cover the costs of medication or additional services yourself. There is no need to book an appointment. You don’t need to consult the Medi24 advice hotline in advance either.
If the pharmacy is unable to fully resolve your concerns, the Medi24 medical telephone advice hotline can help you as usual.
With both models, the Medi24 Telemedicine Centre is your first port of call. With the Telmed model, the proposed treatment is binding. With PREMED-24, you are then free to decide where and how you want to receive treatment.
Report every referral or medical follow-up check to Medi24. It coordinates your treatment. This step is mandatory.
Yes. For certain illnesses, you will receive a medical certificate straight away. Medi24 can also issue prescriptions. The specialist will clarify this with you in the specific case.
Yes, a paediatrician will be consulted if necessary.
You should still contact the telemedicine service before receiving treatment. The specialist will discuss your individual course of treatment with you.
